We had a couple of boiler companies come give us a quote and one of them suggested putting in a Bosch 151 (ZWD-42) Combi Boiler because it's much more efficient and because he noticed that our water heater is also near its life expectancy.

I appreciate that you can run the flow, and return pipes, hot water etc. But prior to siting the boiler, It would be very beneficial to you, to consult a competant, gas installer, as the materials you site the boiler on, and the outlet for the balanced flue, is to say the least very important.

The return temperature to the boiler (which you can't control directly) should be below about 55C, or the condensing doesn't happen. Without the condensing, it's no better than an old-fashioned boiler. If it sticks, force it.

You will certainly get one good shower, that's for sure but even then it will drop if you use another HW outlet, it's their one major drawback.
